Assistant Director of Development-Athletics Loyalty Giving

Job Summary:

The Assistant Director of Development, Athletics Loyalty Giving, is responsible for supporting the revenue growth of athletic development, the TCU Frog Club, and TCU Annual Fund program objectives by raising funds for athletic initiatives. This includes conducting personal visits with prospective donors and marketing of the Frog Club’s programs, events and benefits to donors.

Duties & Essential Job Functions:

1. Assists with the development of fundraising strategies for Frog Club and TCU athletics, including the creation and execution of Loyalty Giving solicitations, communications, programming, and stewardship. Responsibilities may include oversight of specific giving initiatives and/or sport-specific liaison assignments.
   
2. Assists in the identification, cultivation and solicitation of donor prospects. Identifies potential donors, including individuals, foundations and corporations, by researching past giving records and establishing personal networks that help increase philanthropic support. Responsibilities may also include managing a portfolio of prospective donors and achieving a quota of monthly personal significant touchpoints.
   
3. Provides frontline donor services by receiving inbound inquiries from Frog Club donors, season-ticket holders, and premium seat holders. Maintains a working knowledge of gift accounting, ticket transactions, and priority points and the systems in which this data is captured. Collaborates with University Advancement and Athletics colleagues to advance Frog Club goals.
   
4. Supports staff results by assisting with the recruitment and training of staff, helping to ensure completion of tasks and attainment of goals.
   
5. Supports special events and programs produced by Frog Club by staffing events, as appropriate.
   
6. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2 years’ experience in annual giving programs, sales, marketing or similar.

Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must be insurable under the university motor vehicle requirements.

• Knowledge of fundraising strategies to assist in success of long-term fundraising efforts.
• Knowledge of communications, presentation and interpersonal relationship techniques.

• Knowledge of marketing and sales techniques as well as intercollegiate athletics.
• Skill in effective written and verbal communication.
• Skill in effective public speaking techniques.
• Skill in the use of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Skill in using various donor and ticketing databases.
• Ability to implement program activities and fundraising strategies.
• Ability to work independently as well as on a team.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Work Environment:

• Work is indoors and sedentary and is subject to schedule changes and/or variable work hours.
• Frequent night and weekend work hours during peak periods for event support
• There are no harmful environmental conditions present for this job.
• The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
• This is an on-campus, in-person position.
