The purpose of the Assistant Director of Event and Game Operations is to assist the Assistant Athletics Director of Event and Game Operations in all facets in relation to internal and external events held within the Athletics Department. Key role will be event manager/sport oversight for assigned sports. In addition to sport oversight, the Assistant Director will assist with aspects of special events and facility rentals held within athletic department facilities.
Essential Functions:
Work hand in hand with various athletics and campus departments to produce quality execution of all events, internal and external
Draft and adapt policies, procedures, manuals, correspondence, reports, and services for event management data
Serve as onsite manager at internal/external events
Schedule and monitor events and other activities held in athletic facilities
Assist with Conference and NCAA post season events
Facilitate correspondence with internal/external constituents
Set-up/Tear down of event equipment and facility needs for events
Schedule staffing coverage and operation plans for events
Draft policies, procedures, manuals, reports, and correspondence for event management department
Conduct phone and email correspondence for event questions and concerns
Adhere to all department, university, conference and NCAA rules and regulations
Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Required Education: Bachelor's degree AND
Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 60 months experience.

Ability to lift heavy objects 15 to 50 pounds
Ability to climb ladders, crouch, crawl, and bend
Ability to stand for extended periods
