Intercollegiate Athletics
Reporting to the Director of Event Management, the Assistant Director of Event management will be responsible for:
Supporting and assisting in the operations of a high level men’s and women’s sports program, including assisting with the setup and break down of home competitions and external events;
Serving as the event manager for assigned men’s and women’s athletic events. This includes leading operation meetings with the necessary departments and maintaining pre-competition communication with the visiting team, conference office and game officials;
Assisting with managing larger outside events hosted by the athletics department, including but not limited to concerts, high school state champions, etc.;
Assisting with the hiring, training and general supervision of part time staff, student interns and volunteers;
Developing and maintaining visitor’s guides and assisting with hotel arrangements as necessary;
Coordinating with opposing teams for practice times and any other necessary pre and post competition logistic;
Maintaining current knowledge of SEC and NCAA rules and regulations related to game management;
Serving as the main parking contact for the department. This includes coordinating with parking and transportation on campus, coordinating with MUPD on CSO lot assignments, allocating internal parking needs, event parking logistics, hiring and training parking staff, main liaison for Clutch, home team parking assignments for away competitions, special event parking, and all operations regarding parking logistics within athletics; and
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Salary Range: $50,367 - $79,354 per year. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

A Bachelor's degree in related/relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
