Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Oversee the planning and implementation of varsity sporting events for the UGA Athletic Association and various SEC and NCAA Championship events hosted on campus and serve as operations and construction manager for select facilities.
Effective computer skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read, analyze and interpret NCAA, SEC, and institutional rules and regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals, customers, and the general public. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Duties/Responsibilities
Manage all operations surrounding various varsity athletic events.

Coordinate event and facility plans with ticket personnel, athletic trainers, facility and promotions staff, sports communication, and digital production personnel.

Serve as Event Director for assigned SEC and NCAA post-season events. Delegate responsibilities to event staff. Develop and maintain Game Expense budgets for supervised sports as well as post-season competition. Correspond with game officials, Southeastern Conference officials and NCAA liaisons.

Serve as operations manager for select construction projects and facility maintenance. Assist in planning and implementation of construction projects. Coordinate and manage the daily operations for select facilities.

Key management for all facilities.

Implement crisis management and inclement weather plans, when necessary, at athletic events.
