Summary of Job Duties: The Assistant Director of Facilities and Events is a twelve-month position and will be responsible for assisting the Director of the Stephens Center in the execution of planning, scheduling, and managing all phases of the Little Rock Athletics Facilities. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.

Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of one (1) year of event management experience;
• Experience with relevant software programs (Microsoft Excel and Word).

Preferred Education and/or Experienc e:

• Experience with Appetize software;
• Experience at the collegiate or professional level.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the following facilities, including overseeing all building and janitorial services and inspecting all work: Gary Hogan Field, Coleman Sports Complex, and Donaghey Athletic Center;
• Manage the food and beverage operation of the Jack Stephens Center;
• Schedule and manage the event staff for all concession stands, suites, and kitchen staff in the Jack Stephens Center;
• Track all concession sales and inventory levels with the Tangent inventory software system;
• Perform duties of building manager for events at the Jack Stephens Center;
• Assist in the day-to-day management of the Jack Stephens Center including overseeing all building and janitorial services and inspecting all work;
• Required to work all Little Rock Athletic events scheduled at the Jack Stephens Center;
• Share the responsibility for Non-Athletic events at the Jack Stephens Center;
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

• Knowledge of NCAA, Ohio Valley, and University rules;
• Knowledge of Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Control Board regulations;
• Ability to interact in a professional manner with people and present a positive image of the University;
• Ability to work extensive nights and weekends;
• Experience with relevant software programs (Microsoft Excel and Word) is needed.
