The Assistant Director of Football On-campus Recruiting is a support role for one of the most critical areas of the entire football operations, recruitment of student-athletes. Due to the maintain very confidential nature of student-athlete recruiting, the incumbent is in a highly sensitive position and must be able to trust of the entire coaching staff. The incumbent is exposed daily to information of a highly confidential nature and must demonstrate a high degree of professionalism.
75% Direct oversight of recruiting and logistics; Oversee recruiting on-campus compliance. Responsible for all logging for data entry of all countable coaches’ telephone calls; evaluation and contacts, and official and unofficial visit documentation; Direct oversight in the facilitation on all in person on-campus recruiting efforts on all special events associated with recruiting, i.e. all on-campus visits including pregame and postgame activities, dinners, banquets and social events for official visits, etc.; Maintain relationships with outside vendors; Oversee the onboarding process within the recruiting department for prospective student-athletes; Manage the recruiting communication organization; Assist in an administrative role on official and unofficial recruiting visits, including travel arrangements, accommodations, meals, tours, compliance documentation and expense reports.
20% Assist in helping manage the recruiting database. The information on recruits must be thoroughly analyzed to provide date for the recruiting coordinator to disseminate to the coaching staff as they plan for visits. Collects statistical data on recruits and continually updates computerized reports. It is vitally important that such information be current and completely accurate. This information helps to ensure compliance with NCAA regulations and determines the effectiveness of recruiting methods; Assist in National Letter of Intent/ Financial Aid process with Admissions; Assist with supervision of student workers assigned to Football recruiting with scheduling and assigning tasks.
5% Advances and supports LSU and Athletics Department core values through personal participation in educational and developmental opportunities, as well as participation in the creation of a respectful culture consistent with the values of LSU and its Athletics Department; Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with two years experience in a collegiate football setting; Knowledge and commitment to NCAA rules and regulations; Knowledge of Windows based computer programs. LSU values skills, experience, and expertise. Candidates who have relevant experience in key job responsibilities are encouraged to apply — a degree is not required as long as the candidate meets the required years of experience specified in the job description.

Ability to work extended days and weekends. Travel is required.
