ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF HOSPITALITY AND EVENTS

An example of job duties includes but are not limited to:
Assist with managing preparation of all premium spaces for the football season.
Prepare and manage Shamrock Zone club and suites for football game days.
Assist with coordinating season and game day menus for football, basketball and baseball season.
Oversee, plan and prepare premium spaces for men's and women's basketball game days.
Manage communication and food/beverage orders with men's and women's basketball premium ticket holders.
Assist with managing suite and club preparation and orders for baseball.
Assist in planning and preparation of the Powercat Auction.
Assist in planning and execution of special events in K-State Athletics' premium areas such as team banquets and student-athlete graduation receptions.
Lead and manage all aspects of internal and external usage and rentals of the Shamrock Zone.
Manage communication and preparation of internal and external events held in the Shamrock Zone.
Assist in hiring, scheduling, and training of Hospitality and Events Ambassadors (part-time employees).

Must provide excellent customer service through the successful development and implementation of our hospitality program. Will assist with hiring, scheduling, and training of hospitality and events ambassadors, and with planning and preparation of the Powercat Auction.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
One year of experience working in events, hospitality and/or customer service
Preferred Qualifications:
Two years of experience working in events and hospitality
Experience managing and hiring gameday staff
Experience working in events and hospitality in NCAA Division I athletics
Other Requirements:
Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to promote and demonstrate respect, collaboration and friendly customer service in all working relationships and situations
Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
Must be able to travel as required
Must have a valid driver’s license at all times
