| Position Summary |
The Assistant Director of Marketing and Fan Experience is to assist in coordinating and executing plans and initiatives for all sports to increase awareness, attendance, and revenue for each athletic program. Assist with the day to day marketing, digital media and creative services of the athletics department. Assist in creating and developing promotional plans and giveaway strategies for all sports to maximize ticket sales, attendance and the overall fan experience.
Austin Peay State University is a four-year public, doctoral-level university, with six colleges and four Chairs of Excellence. The University has an enrollment of over 9,000 students and is located in Clarksville, Tennessee, a community of an estimated 166,000 people located approximately 40 miles northwest of Nashville, TN.

| Primary Duties and Responsibilities |
- Assist in coordinating and executing marketing plans and initiatives for all sports to increase awareness, attendance, and revenue for each athletic program as directed by the Director for Marketing.
- Assist with the day to day marketing, digital media and creative services of the athletics department.
- Assist in Creating and developing promotional plans and giveaway strategies for all sports to maximize ticket sales, attendance and the overall fan experience.
- Determine how each in-game element is implemented, including sponsors and game day groups (promotions, music, public address announcer, entertainment, presentations, video, band, cheerleaders, dance and mascot) for assigned sports teams.
- Assist in the marketing of various ticket packages through social media and digital marketing channels and platforms as well as traditional media.
- Assist with the development of television spots, radio spots, print advertisements, schedule cards, posters and other promotional and marketing collateral as needed.
- Assist in organizing and coordinating campus marketing initiatives targeted to faculty, staff and the student body to maximize support.
- Assist in managing membership drives, benefits and fulfillment as well as events for fan clubs including children and APSU students.
- Contact philanthropy groups, university groups, and other outside vendors for partnerships at athletic events. Includes group ticket sales efforts. Assist with sponsorship fulfillment as needed.
- Assist with game day staffing.
- Assist in overseeing the APSU cheer, dance and mascot programs and assist in game day operations of the football marching band and basketball pep band.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of related Digital and Social Media.

| Physical Requirements |
- Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

| Required Minimum Qualifications |
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of one year of experience in Athletics Marketing and Promotions, Digital and Social Media, and/or Game Operations.
