Assistant Director of On Campus Recruiting

Position Summary

Under general supervision of the Director of Recruiting Operations the Assistant Director of On Campus Recruiting will coordinate and implement the day-to-day activities associated with the University’s on campus official and unofficial recruiting visits for football. This includes advising the Director of Recruiting Operations and Assistant General Manager on all administrative areas involving bringing recruits to campus. The Assistant Director arranges and conducts activities surrounding official and unofficial on-campus recruiting visits, communicates with football staff regarding recruiting activities and agendas, maintains documentation related to recruitment activities, and coordinates with compliance staff to ensure activities associated with on-campus recruiting and unofficial on-campus visits are in compliance with University, NCAA, and BIG10 recruitment regulation.

Salary & Compensation

*UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. Qualifications

• (1) to (3) Years Minimum of one to three years of recruiting experience as a college recruiting coordinator. (Required)
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and to handle sensitive and confidential information/material with discretion. (Required)
  • Ability to interact diplomatically with individuals of various social, economic, cultural, and educational backgrounds. (Required)
  • Superior public relations skills, including outstanding interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships and correspondence with staff, faculty, media, recruits, visiting coaches, donors, parents and Conference and NCAA officials. (Required)
  • Ability to plan and prioritize assignments and work independently to complete assignments despite various deadlines, competing requirements and changing priorities. (Required)
  • Ability to perform under stress and maintain composure in the face of resistance, indifference or hostility. (Required)

  • Working knowledge of contracts and demonstrated budgetary skills. (Required)
  • Working knowledge of University purchasing and accounting policies and procedures. (Preferred)
  • Demonstrate word processing and computer skills to complete assignments with speed and accuracy. (Required)
  • Ability to operate a computer with working knowledge of various computer software systems including: Microsoft Office, ARMS, Teamworks, Hudl, XOs, Prep Tracker, Page Maker, VISIO and database entry. (Required)
  • Knowledge of University policies and procedures. (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of Conference and NCAA rules and regulations. (Required)

Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations

• Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's degree in related field. (Preferred)

Special Conditions for Employment

• Background Check: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation.
  • Live Scan Background Check: A Live Scan background check must be completed prior to the start of employment.
  • CANRA: The position is designated as a mandatory reporter under CANRA. The employee must sign the "Statement Acknowledging Requirement to Report Child Abuse".
  • 10% May be required to travel for team activities; including home and away games.
