| Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit |
The Department of Athletics exists to provide educational and athletic opportunities to young men and women, to provide an environment for student-athletes to learn, advance and excel both academically and athletically, and to serve the interests of the University by complimenting and enhancing its diversity and quality of life. Through its athletic programs, the University seeks to unite alumni, faculty, administration and students in a common shared experience. The governing unit within the Department of Athletics is the Director’s Office, which is the administrative office and clearinghouse for the entire Department of Athletics, and promotes the department’s guiding principle of educating and inspiring through athletics. This unit provides support to administrators, coaches, staff members and student-athletes in order to provide and promote a premier intercollegiate athletic program for The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The Department of Athletics is a highly visible public relations arm of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with statewide, national and international recognition.

| Position Summary |
Assist with Video and Data; Coordinate home and away video of team practices and competition. Set codes and stat all home practices and games. The selected candidate will coordinate all Video exchange with ACC schools and non-conference opponents; as well as, practice & facility daily coordinator for team training, such as court set-up, facility manager; and director all student managers’ hours and job responsibilities; assist in managing team travel, team roster, hotel accommodations and team meals & planning and communication with visiting teams and travel opponents. The selected candidate will coordinate all social events involving parents, alumni, team functions; administrator for the friends of Volleyball booster club, with a goal of raising over $40k in 2015-16; work with UNC marketing & promotions create a new level Courtside Club of Carmichael of FOV with special pregame gatherings, reserved courtside seating, etc. Assist Sports Marketing with home event management. Promote and help monitor all Volleyball social media (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram) accounts for UNC players, coaches and staff; assist coaching staff with all on-campus recruiting, touring facilities, scheduling etc.; coordinate all team equipment with Equipment Room staff. General office manager to assist coaching staff and additional duties to be assigned.

| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.

| Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Strong written & verbal communication skills, work independently.
Advanced knowledge of Micro-soft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Adobe Acrobat required.
Ability to travel & work on weekends when required.
Proficient in web management & social media.
