Position: Assistant Director of Sports Information

Description: This position is responsible for assisting in the promotion of the Athletic department and the intercollegiate varsity athletic programs through the distribution of information. Job duties include but are not limited to promoting and publicizing the varsity athletic programs via website, social media, and production of posters and other graphics as needed. Creating original video and photographic content for GCC Athletics social media platforms. Compiling and updating statistics for all 23 varsity teams for web and social media platforms. Coordinating varsity athletic video streaming program and working with coaches to develop content for respective sports pages on website and related media. Maintaining all athletic records, team rosters and team schedules on athletics website. Generating game summaries and news stories as assigned by the Director of Sports Information. Compiling in-game statistical compilation for assigned varsity athletics events and working with College’s Marketing Office for cross-promotion of relevant stories on website and social media accounts.

Apply NowRequirements: Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in communications, sports management, or a related field. Must have relevant experience in a media relations environment and experience in producing video content. Experience working with Sidearm Web Publishing is preferred. Must be able to work evening hours and Saturdays throughout the academic year. Sunday work is also required on occasion. A strong, demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the mission and vision of Grove City College is essential.
