About this position

The Assistant Director of Strength & Conditioning is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of individual and group strength and conditioning training programs for student-athletes participating in the intercollegiate athletics program under the supervision of the Director of Strength & Conditioning.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Development

  • Assist the Director of Strength and Conditioning with continuous improvement and growth of the Emory & Henry Strength & Conditioning program and management of the Gibson Fitness Center and its users.

  • Enable student-athletes to perform to their physical potential in their sport through the development and management of both individual and group athletic performance training programs which includes strength, flexibility/mobility, speed, power, plyometric and other related training modalities.

  • Evaluate current physical conditioning and utilize knowledge of various sports and associated exercises to develop and tailor strength and conditioning programs for specific student-athlete needs.
