The Department of Athletics is seeking an Assistant Director of Ticket Operations. This is a full-time (1.0FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position.
The mission of the

Department of Athletics is to Go Build Excellent, Authentic, Visionary Student-Athletes (GO B.E.A.V.S.).
The Assistant Director of Ticket Operations is responsible for, and will be the primary manager and the point of contact for Women’s Basketball, Wrestling, and other Olympic sports and special events as needed. Responsibilities include event creation, presentation, and maintenance of e.venue, pre-event sales, game-day sales preparation, ticket operations at events and post-event reconciliation. This position will be responsible for handling cash and credit card charges for deposit. Additionally, this position will assist with ticket operations for Football and will supervise the will call booth on game days. Position is expected to have the ability to upsell on inbound calls and make outbound calls related to their assigned sports to generate revenue.

TICKET
MANAGER
Provides leadership and strategic direction to maximize ticket revenue for at least two of the following sports: Men’s Soccer, Women’s Soccer, Volleyball, Wrestling, Softball and other special Olympic sports events as needed. Sets season, individual, and mini-plan ticket prices for assigned sports, which will have a direct impact on revenue generation, marketing, video, Our Beaver Nation, and setting of precedence moving forward. This position is available to both internal (coaches and staff, marketing, video, Our Beaver Nation, students, student athletes) and external (alumni, boosters, public,
PAC
-12 peers, Paciolan representative/contact) partners and customers. Problem-solves and assists the public with ticket issues on sight, which may involve making exceptions to policies and procedures. Responsible for pre-event sales, location set up, event ticket operations management, recording home game attendance, auditing and reporting and all other related post-event reconciliation. Responsible for printing single game tickets for all ticketed events. Provides leadership on all customer service initiatives for the unit. Has the authority to make discretionary exceptions to policy and may act as the leader of the unit, as well as the Director of Ticket Operations, in his/her absence. This position may be required to travel with assigned sports for post-season or pre-conference events.

Works Football game days and sports as assigned; this includes game-day preparation and sales and post-event reconciliation. Assists in managing student workers on Football game days. Manages all home events for assigned sports (minimum 2 from the list above), as well as traveling for any pre-conference, post-season or conference tournament events. May also be required to work events for other sports as needed.

FLOW
Supervises the flow of monies deposited by the ticket office and assists with balancing the cash windows. Balances deposits with the monthly bank statement. Collects on returned checks and denied charges on credit cards. Prepares billings for accounts receivable. Balances all daily batches and credit card settlement. Provides monthly ticket sales reports to the business office.

OFFICE
DUTIES
Ensures that all ticket offices and booths are always presentable to the public, both visually and in regards to office preparedness. Must be capable of outbound communication to season ticket holders and customers, as needed, and with outstanding customer service skills. Will be responsible with processing orders and donations via phone and window when necessary. Updates ticket information on osubeavers.com and beavertickets.com and/or sends the updated information to Sports Information or Beaver Creative to update. Orders all office supplies needed for the ticket office. Maintains the ticket office storage area on an annual basis.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field
AND
Two (2) years of experience in a professional or intercollegiate athletic ticket office with progressively responsible experience in ticket operations
OR
Three (3) years of experience in a professional or intercollegiate athletic ticket office with progressively responsible experience in ticket operations. Student experience may be considered.
One (1) year of experience utilizing the Paciolan ticketing system including digital ticketing.
Familiarity with
NCAA
rules and regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Proven excellence in interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to build rapport and maintain relationships at all levels.
Strong problem solving, time management and organizational skills.
Ability to initiate and complete projects within deadlines.
A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
This position requires driving a university vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the university; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions as per University Policy 05-030.
Master’s degree.
Experience working with Paciolan ticketing software.
Post-season or
NCAA
Championship experience in a ticketing role.
May be required to work evenings and weekends.
May travel with assigned sport(s) for post-season or pre-conference events.
