The University of Oregon Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will provide an outstanding collegiate experience to our student-athletes while enabling them to pursue excellence in the classroom, the community, and their lives while competing at the highest level in their chosen sport.
The Assistant Director of Ticket Operations oversees and manages ticketing for soccer, lacrosse, and acrobatics and tumbling seasons. They are responsible for event creation, sales, post-event reconciliation, and collaboration with other departments to ensure the success of events. They also hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and discipline student worker staff to meet customer service demands and implement a training schedule.
The Assistant Director ensures the successful staffing of events and provides ticket reports and sales trends for supervised sports, as well as prepares event settlements. They strategize with ticket office directors on day-to-day activities and are the primary point of contact for all cash handling and corresponding financial deposits. The Assistant Director also provides daily customer service, including, but not limited to monitoring inbound emails and assisting students with customer interactions. Additionally, they provide gameday and fulfillment support as needed for football and select men’s and women’s basketball events and aid in allocating season tickets and annual donations for other Oregon sports. Work may often be performed outside of “normal business hours” on nights and weekends to assist with events, promoters, and finalizing ticket situations.
The Assistant Director of Ticket Operations is also responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the Intercollegiate Athletics Department, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University of Oregon, Big Ten Conference, and the NCAA.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• One year of collegiate or professional ticket operations and/or experience within higher education.
• Excellent organizational, customer service, and communication skills.
• The successful candidate will have the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students from a variety of diverse backgrounds.
• Current knowledge of NCAA rules.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, marketing, or a related field.
• Ticket office experience at a Division I athletic institution.
• Ticketmaster ticketing software experience.
• Donor-based priority seating program experience.
• Photoshop or InDesign experience.
• Supervision experience.
