The University of Oregon Department of Intercollegiate Athletics provides an outstanding collegiate experience to our student-athletes while enabling them to pursue excellence in the classroom, the community, and their lives while competing at the highest level in their chosen sport.
The Assistant Director of Ticket Operations is responsible for the oversight, management, and ticketing of women’s basketball and baseball season-ticketed sports. This position will also serve as the secondary contact with arena staff and ticket promoters regarding tickets for all concerts and special events at Matthew Knight Arena. The Assistant Director will hire, train, schedule, supervise, evaluate, and discipline 16 student workers to meet customer service demands. They will implement a training schedule for staff and ensure successful staffing of events.
Responsibilities will include:
• building seating maps
• scaling and re-scaling the house ticket diagram depending on demand
• providing ticket reports and sales trends
• attending to ticket holds in all categories
• preparing and finalizing event settlements
• strategizing with directors on day-to-day office activities
• allocating season tickets
• annual donation solicitation
This work requires the position to be available outside of “normal business hours” on some nights and weekends to assist events and promoters and finalize ticket situations.
This position is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the Intercollegiate Athletics Department, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University of Oregon, Pac-12 Conference, and the NCAA.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• One year of ticket office experience.
• Excellent organizational, customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students from a variety of diverse backgrounds.
• Current knowledge of NCAA rules.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, marketing, or related field.
• Ticket office experience at a Division I athletic institution.
• Ticketmaster ticketing software experience.
• Donor-based priority seating program experience.
• Photoshop or InDesign experience.
• Supervision experience.
