Anderson University’s Athletic Department invites applications for a full-time position as Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning. The Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning is responsible, in coordination and in support of the Director of Strength and Conditioning, for implementing a strength, conditioning, and sports performance program for the university’s athletic teams. This position will create a safe and encouraging workout environment for all student athletes and will instruct, monitor, and evaluate the strength and conditioning, speed, and agility programs for varsity sports throughout the year. This role will work collaboratively with Sports Medicine to ensure student athletes are properly assigned pre- and post-rehabilitation programs and will frequently communicate with head coaches to facilitate program scheduling. Additional assistance administering year-round nutritional programs for student-athletes, providing support for on-campus recruiting visits, extended work hours, and occasional travel may be required.

Knowledge equivalent to that gained through a master’s degree is preferred. A bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Sports Science, or related area of study combined previous work experience in Sports Performance or Strength and Conditioning is required. Working knowledge of NCAA policies and collegiate athletic programs is preferred. Ability to uphold confidentiality, work collaboratively, and exhibit Anderson University’s Christian mission through all interactions also required. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills essential.
