Job Description

This position reports to the Head Field Hockey Coach, and is responsible for assisting in all aspects of coaching, planning, directing and developing sport and position specific skills of student-athletes in the sport program, including:

· Assist in the instruction, management and teaching of student-athletes in assigned positional area.

· Assist in the development and execution of game/practice plans, coaching strategies and teaching methods.

· Assist coaching staff members with all recruiting and administrative responsibilities.

· Assist the breakdown of team and opponent video.

· Assist the coaching staff with game day play charting and provide coaching feedback as needed.

· Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required from an Accredited College or University. Applicants must be admitted to the Coaching Education (campus based) graduate program with The Gladys W. and David H. Patton College of Education at Ohio University, enroll in a minimum of 12 graduate credit hours per semester (fall and spring semester) as a full-time student, and maintain a required g.p.a within that particular college.

Preferred Qualifications

Field Hockey background as a player or coach at the collegiate level.
