Position Overview:

Responsible for any aspect of coaching football as assigned by the head coach and director of athletics. 

Compensation:

The expected starting salary for this position is $15,000. The salary range has been prorated based on the part-time nature of this position. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.

• Organizes, prepares, and conducts safe and strategic individual and team training sessions and competitive strategies. Executes appropriate coaching decisions during practice and competition that ensure the welfare of the student athletes representing their program.
• Teach skill progressions appropriate to the level and ability of the student-athletes.

• Teach skill progressions appropriate to the level and ability of the student-athletes.
• Understand and support students who are balancing multiple responsibilities as students and athletes in a rigorous academic environment.
• Teach the strategies of the sport generally and event specific as assigned by the head coach of the program.  
• Assist with the management of facilities, uniforms and equipment specific to the sport.
• Comply with the policies and regulations set forth by the NCAA Division III and Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (MIAC).
• Demonstrate the highest level of sportsmanship and conduct during practices and contests.
• Demonstrate behavior consistent with maintaining a program that has student-athlete welfare, as its central focus.
• Maintain the highest priority on the overall educational experience of the student-athletes.
• Responsible for recruiting 5-6 states.
• Coach a defensive position.
• Coordinate a phase of special teams and be actively involved in every aspect of special teams.

Additional Job Responsibilities: 

• Engage as fully as possible in the life of the College.
• Participate in the development of seasonal planning and fully support appropriate decisions made by the head coach.

Education/Experience/Skills: 

Required: 

• Bachelor’s degree, football coaching experience or has competed in football at a collegiate level.

Physical Requirements:

Must have the ability to understand and follow written and oral work instructions, operations, safety procedures, and hazardous labels.
