Nor’easter Football program. Reporting to the Head Coach, the DC supports the head coach in to developing and building a quality
NCAA

football program that is successful on the field, in the classroom, and in the southern Maine community.

Coaching
Develop defensive schemes and strategies and teaching methods to develop student athletes’ football intelligence.
Plan and conduct practices in preparation for competition during season, spring practice and coordinate off-season program. Prepare summer camp programs.
Teach players basic to advanced skills depending on ability.
Encourage and foster leadership development with team members.
Evaluate opponent, review film analyze performance of players and adjusts strategies as needed.
Meet regularly with players to insure classroom and academic success. Manage weekly study halls, arrange for academic support as needed.
Recruiting
In collaboration with the Head Coach and Admissions, develop successful recruiting strategies.
Organize official and unofficial visit programs in accordance with
NCAA
rules.
Analyze team needs to focus recruitment efforts on specific positions and populations.
Conduct extensive arm chair recruitment via telephone, and email correspondence during the season.
Perform extensive travel during the off-season to assigned regions to meet prospects, families and high school coaches.
Create connections with two-year school programs to create a pipeline.
Attend summer camps to identify future players.
Formulates recommendation concerning the potential success of the student/athlete.
Football Program
Assist with the building of a summer camp program.
Perform numerous tasks involved in running a program for game day operations to away game preparations.
University Responsibilities
Participate as a full member of the athletic department.
Staff and attend all open houses, admissions yield programs, new student orientation, family weekend programs etc.
Commit to actively fostering a welcoming culture of inclusion and diversity.
Secondary Duties as Assigned.
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s preferred. Experience as an assistant coordinator, intern or graduate assistant in a competitive college football program or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.

Successful track record recruiting college football players.
Excellent administrative skills and experience presenting to groups.
