Search Timeframe:

The position will be open until filled with the search committee reviewing materials following February 19th 2024 with an anticipated offer and start date in the beginning of March, 2024.

Job Summary:

The position serves as the Defensive Backs coach for a Division II Program; leads and coaches to the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA), state, Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) and Institutional guidelines. Provides support to the Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator in all aspects of on-field coaching, player development, academic success, recruiting, film study, practice organization, position meetings, scouting opponents.

Responsibilities:

• Development and daily practice plan and individual sessions for Defensive Backs
• Help with developing practice schedule including individual instruction and daily play scripts
• Recruit viable student athletes with the focus of matriculation at Seton Hill University. The territory assigned will be decided after hiring with recruiting history in mind.
• Participate in Program and team development activities throughout the entire calendar year.
• Oversight of all data input on the defensive side of the ball through HUDL.
• Strong public Speaker
• Create an environment that places value on student athletes and staff safety, mental health, and overall wellbeing.
• Foster a competitive and hardworking culture on the defensive side of the ball that matches the overall program culture.
• Serve as the program Equipment coordinator to help keep program organization and uniformity throughout the entire calendar year.
• Responsible for hiring and oversight of work-study students to assist with daily laundry duties for the program.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• Previous experience with defensive back play required (playing experience preferred).
• 2-5 Years of collegiate football experience.
