Coaching & Player Development
Coach and develop the defensive line, emphasizing technique, fundamentals, discipline, and effort.
Implement the defensive philosophy, terminology, and game plans designed by the Defensive Coordinator.
Conduct position meetings, drills, practice instruction, and in-game coaching.
Assist with film breakdown, opponent analysis, and weekly game preparation.
Promote sportsmanship, professionalism, accountability, and leadership.
Recruiting & Academic Support
Assist with recruiting prospective student-athletes in compliance with NCAA, SIAC, USG, and Albany State University policies.
Support admissions, eligibility, and roster management processes.
Monitor and support student-athlete academic progress in coordination with compliance and academic support staff.
Demonstrate consistent concern for student-athlete welfare and development.
Administration & Operations
Assist with day-to-day football operations, including travel coordination, equipment management, and practice or game-day logistics.
Work collaboratively with compliance, athletic training, and sports medicine staff to ensure student-athlete health, safety, and rule adherence.
Assist with facilities oversight or other duties as assigned.
Engagement & Advancement
Assist with camps, clinics, fundraising, promotional activities, and community engagement.
Attend required meetings, events, and championships.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach, Defensive Coordinator, or Director of Athletics.
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted.
Minimum 3 years of experience in football coaching experience at the collegiate, high school, or equivalent level.
Commitment to student-athlete welfare, academic success, and adherence to NCAA, SIAC, University System of Georgia and Albany State University policies and procedures.
Experience at the collegiate level.
