DEFENSIVE ASSISTANT FOOTBALL COACH/LINEBACKER

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Linebackers Coach to join our Langston University football program. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plan to enhance the performance of our linebackers. This includes planning and conducting practice sessions, developing game strategies, analyzing game footage, and providing individualized coaching and mentorship. The linebackers Coach will work closely with the head coach and other coaching staff to ensure the overall success of the football team, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork and sportsmanship.
Responsibilities:
Player Development: Mentor and guide players in their academic and personal development.
Promote values of sportsmanship, teamwork and integrity within the team.
Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest coaching techniques, strategies and industry trends. Attend coaching clinics, workshops and professional development opportunities.
Continuously seek ways to improve and innovate coaching methods.

Education & Experience
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred)
Proven experience as a linebackers coach at the collegiate or professional level.
Deep understanding of football tactics, especially related to the linebacker
position.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to analyze performance and develop effective training programs.
Commitment to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
CPR and First Aid certification (Required)
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of coaching experience, specifically with linebackers.
Demonstrated success in player development and on-field performance.
Experience in recruiting and evaluating prospective student-athletes.
Proven track record of developing and implementing defensive schemes.
Familiarity with video analysis software and technology used in coaching.
