 The University of Pittsburgh Athletic Department is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Football Assistant Coach – Offensive Coordinator working under the direction of the Head Football Coach. This position will be responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating the football program’s offense for a highly competitive Division I program competing in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree is preferred), a minimum of five years of football coaching experience at the Division I or NFL level.Â

Essential Functions Coaching – In coordination with the Head Football Coach, individual will be responsible for teaching, planning, organization, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating student-athletes in his charge for the football program’s offense. Individual is also responsible for ensuring all coaching assignments for the offense are carried out during daily work-outs, practices, and competition to maximize athletic performance. Individual will also be responsible for promoting, academic, social and general welfare of the student-athletes in his charge. Recruiting – Individual will be responsible for recruiting plan for the football program’s offense, and will be responsible for identification, research of, communication with, and recruitment of prospective student-athletes. Student- athletes who sign with the University of Pittsburgh are expected to be successful both athletically and academically. Physical conditioning – Individual will be expected to consult with the Performance Team in monitoring the well-being of the student athletes, to ensure maximum athletic performance. Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach including but not limited to adhering to policies established by the NCAA, ACC, the Athletic Department and the University.
Physical Effort Instructing and demonstrating physical skills while coaching; extensive travel via car, air, and bus. Must stand for long periods of time at games and at practice. May participate in drills or practices. May have to lift or transport equipment.
