Assistant Football Coach – Offensive Line Coach
Position: Western Colorado University invites applications for the full-time position of Assistant Football Coach/Offensive Line Coach . The position reports to the Head Football Coach, works closely with the Western athletics department staff, and is responsible for coaching the Offensive Line. This is an on-campus position.
Responsibilities: The Assistant Football Coach/Offensive Line Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Football Coach in the day-to-day operations of a Division II program; ensuring that the football program demonstrates a commitment to academics and to maintain compliance with NCAA, RMAC, Western Colorado University, and State of Colorado rules and regulations; recruit student-athletes for Western Colorado University; practice & game preparation; promote Western Colorado Athletics through functions and events; assist with summer camps; perform additional duties as assigned by the University, Director of Athletics and the Head Football Coach; and help build an overall strong culture within the program and athletic department. This coach will specifically coach the Offensive Line positions.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, football playing experience and/or coaching experience. General knowledge of NCAA Division II football practices & regulations. Ability to establish good report and relationships with players, administrators, staff, alumni, and the general public.
Preferred Qualifications: Coaching & playing experience at the collegiate level. Demonstrated background in coaching the Offensive Line.
Compensation : $49,470 base annual salary, plus summer camp compensation. Position is FLSA exempt. Western offers an excellent benefits package including shared premiums for a comprehensive health insurance plan, dental insurance, retirement plan, life insurance, and other insurance options. After one year of employment, Western provides free tuition for dependents enrolled full time in undergraduate programs for up to four years. Western has acquired local rental agreements for newly hired employees moving to the Gunnison Valley, which can serve as bridge housing. Upon hire, contact information for housing opportunities will be provided by the Human Resources department.
