Job Summary:
The Assistant Football Coach (Offensive Line/Run Game Coordinator) will assist the Head Football Coach/OC with all duties of successfully operating the football program, including but not limited to recruiting student-athletes, assisting with training sessions/game preparation/game-day coaching, monitoring the student-athletes academically and managing game day responsibilities. Opportunity for this position to serve as Run Game Coordinator + Athletics Performance Coordinator. As a member of the athletics department this person will have additional responsibilities assigned by the Director of Athletics.

Lawrence currently fields teams in 22 intercollegiate sports (24 after the start of the 2024-25 academic year) with approximately 365 scholar-athletes and is committed to a well-balanced program promoting excellence in both.
Responsibilities:
· Plan and direct athletics skill development for student-athletes.
· Recruit high caliber student-athletes compatible with Lawrence University’s mission and the specific goals of the football program.
· Assist in advising a diverse community of student-athletes and staff of applicable
NCAA
,
MWC
, and football specific rules, regulations, and University policies and ensure compliance of such regulations.
· Assist the Head Coach in the review of practice and game video.
· Monitor student-athlete academic performance and implement team, Athletics department, and University measures to support their academic performance.
· Meet regularly with the student-athletes about academics and other matters pertaining to their enrollment and educational progress.
· Ensure appropriate safety measures are observed when conducting team activities.
· Cooperate with the University Athletic Trainers to ensure student-athletes receive proper medical and physical training services.
· Coordinate all activities in preparation for scheduled competition.
· Attend all team practices and home and away contests.
· Assume responsibility to student-athlete compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.
· Attend appropriate athletics departmental staff meetings.
Minimum Requirements:
· Successful coaching experience.
· Experience recruiting at the college level.
· Bachelor’s degree required.
· Master’s degree preferred.
· First aid and
AED
certification needed prior to conducting athletics related activities.
· Must have successful completion of criminal and
MVR
background check, meet University Authorized Driver Policy requirements, and favorable completion of reference checks.
· Preference given to those with Strength and Conditioning experience and/or certification.
