The Assistant Football Coach-Offensive Line/Run Game Coordinator is responsible for all phases of the development of a competitive offensive line/run game. Specifically, position will assist in identifying, evaluating and recruiting student-athletes. The Assistant Football Coach-Offensive Line/Run Game Coordinator reports to the Head Football Coach.

Job Duties

- Assist the head football coach in managing and directing the offensive line/run game program.
- Assist the head football coach with all aspects of the team including coaching, training, competing and scheduling.
- Coordinate scouting and video exchange.
- Organize and complete all required paperwork.
- Assist the administration with alumni relations and scholarship fundraising.
- Commit to and adhere to all rules and regulations set forth for the team, the University, the Southland Conference and the NCAA.
- Assist with recruiting, to include calling prospective student-athletes, and evaluating high school and junior college players.
- Effectively and respectfully collaborate with collegiate football constituencies.
- Work cooperatively with personnel in the athletics department, attend department meetings and activities, and always represent the University positively when interacting with the community, alumni, high school and club coaches, media and general public.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Strong skills in recruiting, coaching and teaching highly talented student-athletes.
- Strong skills in scouting opponents and breaking down game video.
- Strong skills in following directives and being responsible for tasks which have been assigned.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment as needed.
- Strong skills in using budgeting and fiscal planning techniques when purchasing and traveling with university funds.
- Ability to effectively establish and maintain effective work relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the public.
- Strong professional communication skills – orally, by phone, in person, via social media and in writing.
- Ability to effectively respond to emergency situations in a timely manner.
- Ability to effectively market and promote respective program.
- Be willing to work various hours including weekends, evenings and some holidays.
- Ability to effectively follow the Mission of the University.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
- Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.

| Required Education |
Bachelor’s Degree.
|
| Required Work Experience |
Three (3) to five (5) years of football coaching experience at the collegiate or professional level.
|
| Preferred Qualifications |
Five (5) years of D1 or NFL experience in coaching secondary positions.

| Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations |
Must have a valid driver license, driving record that is insurable by UIW insurance carrier, and be at least 21 years of age, as required to drive for UIW.

Typical Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with flexibility to include extended hours as needed to meet practice and game schedule.
