Assistant Football Coach-Quarterbacks

The Assistant Football Coach-Quarterbacks is responsible for the complete oversight of all identification, evaluation and recruiting of quarterback student-athletes. The Assistant Football Coach-Quarterbacks reports to the Head Football Coach.

The Assistant Football Coach-Quarterbacks is responsible for the complete oversight of all identification, evaluation and recruiting of quarterback student-athletes. The Assistant Football Coach-Quarterbacks reports to the Head Football Coach.

Job Duties

- Provide complete oversight of all student athletes at the quarterback position on the UIW football team.
- Work effectively with the head coach, offensive coordinator(s), and other offensive position coaches to put UIW football in the best position to be successful on the offensive side of football.
- Assist in the personal development and academic success of assigned student-athletes.
- Break down all film and statistical data to provide the quarterback position group optimal preparation for success.
- Translate all film and statistical data points from breakdowns in a language that enables student athletes in the quarterback position group to execute UIW football’s offensive scheme and game plans.
- Recruit Division I caliber student-athletes at the Quarterback position.
- Effectively and professionally build relationships and communicate with collegiate football constituencies.
- Comply with NCAA, Conference, and UIW regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
| Knowledge Skills and Abilities |
- Must exhibit good judgment in advising and counseling student-athletes.
- Be able to identify and participate in resolution of departmental/institutional problems with continuous quality improvement as a goal
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
- Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.

| Required Work Experience |
Two (2) years of comprehensive collegiate and/or professional football coaching experience. Note that collegiate and/or professional football playing experience will be considered.

Must have a valid drivers license, driving record that is insurable by UIW insurance carrier, and be at least 21 years of age, as required to drive for UIW.

Typical Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with flexibility to include extended hours as needed to meet practice and game schedule.

| Physical Demands |
Ability to lift development materials weighing up to 25 pounds waist high.
