| Job Summary / Basic Function |
1. Assists in contacting prospective student athletes and high school coaches for recruitment of new players.
2. Responsible for coaching and developing the defensive backs.
3. Assistant to the special teams coordinator.
Assists with opponent’s defensive film breakdown.
Helps game plan with defensive coordinator and head coach.
Conducts daily defensive back meetings. Practices with emphasis on assignments, techniques and teaching rules.
Athletic Training Liaison. Daily injury reports etc.
Assist head coach with special teams’ game plans, practice plans, and meetings.
On field defensive substitutions and in game adjustments.
In charge of work study and student workers dealing with all things related to the program.
Camp coordinator. In charge of prospect camp, possible youth camp, and 7 on 7 tournaments.
Will abide by all NCAA, PSAC and College regulations, policies and procedures. Report any known or suspected NCAA violations to the Assistant AD/Compliance or the Faculty Athletics Rep. Violation of any NCAA regulations shall be subject to disciplinary or corrective action up to, and including, termination of employment
Assist the Head Coach in the development of a successful program, encourage and promote excellence in academics from student athletes, work closely with the athletic training staff to ensure the safety and health of student athletes, demonstrate a cooperative attitude toward all other sports within the Edinboro University athletics program.
Other duties as assigned.
