Doane University invites applications for the position of Assistant Football Coach – Wide Receivers at its nationally recognized undergraduate campus in Crete, Nebraska. The assistant coach’s responsibilities include serving as the wide receivers coach and assisting the head coach in all duties involved in running a competitive football program. This position is responsible for student-athlete recruitment and retention and is an integral part of the Doane University Football Coaching Staff.
The assistant coach is expected to attend practices and team meetings as well as travel with the team for away competitions. They will assist in the planning and execution of travel plans as assigned. Recruiting duties may include but are not limited to: scouting and evaluation, planning and executing campus visits, calls, emails, mailings, social media communication, and management of the recruiting database.

Salaried (Exempt)
Bachelor’s degree/equivalent experience considered
Prior competitive playing and/or coaching experience at the college level or equivalent.
The ability to diligently and effectively recruit and retain student-athletes. This includes being willing to travel in and out of state.
Must possess an intricate knowledge of position play along with a solid understanding of offensive schemes.
Excellent knowledge of the sport
An outstanding ability to teach the sport to student-athletes
The ability to represent Doane University in a positive and effective manner.
Valid Nebraska driver’s license and driving record acceptable to the college’s automobile insurance provider
