Purpose of Position and Scope of Responsibility: Under the direction of the head football coach and Associate Athletic Director the Assistant Football Coach / Wildcat Fitness Manager’s responsibilities include running position meetings, assisting with game planning, film breakdown and data entry, covering your own recruiting area, and other duties assigned by the Head Football Coach. Other duties include overseeing the strength and conditioning program, managing the fitness center, and providing training advice for the other varsity sports on campus.
The candidate will also oversee and schedule student workers through the work study program. This is a 12-month, full-time position with benefits. This position would have an immediate start date. The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 3-5 year coaching experience and recruiting experience.

Apply NowUnder the direct supervision of Associate Athletic Director / Head Football Coach responsible for 40 plus hours a week plus some nights and weekends. Incumbents are subject to overtime as deemed necessary.
Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and coach the defensive line.
2. Coordinate and be responsible for the strendth and conditioning program for the football team.
3. Manage and operate the Wildcat Fitness Center.
4. Manage and coordinate lfting times for other on campus varisty sports.
5. Review and provide expert level advice to all varsity coaches in regards to their strength training programs.
6. Performs related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed.

Minimum Qualifications:
3-5 years of coaching experience
Bachelor's Degree
Desired Qualifications:
Accredited strength and conditioning certification (CSCS, USAW) or willing to obtain said certification.
Master's Degree
Physical Requirements:
Work requires heavy physical exertion (over 50 pounds) on a continuous basis (over 50% of time).
Environmental Conditions:
Work involves frequent exposure to various working conditions or outside elements, may involve exposure to a variety of elements which are potentially hazardous or harmful which require exercise of well defined precautions for protection from injury or illness
