Join the 17-time Learfield Director's Cup winning Laker Athletics department anchored in the relentless pursuit of greatness. This position is responsible for all phases of the program including organization and administration, quality student-athlete development and recruitment, fiscal management, viable fund raising and public relations, and other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach.

Salary & Benefits: Minimum starting salary of $50,000, commensurate with experience.

Primary Duties

  • Assist with development and preparation of offensive practice and game plans.

  • Provide on-field instruction to players.

  • Coach players individually and in groups, monitor academic progress, and ensure athletes meet conduct and culture standards.

  • Identify, evaluate, and recruit talented student-athletes who meet the university's academic and athletic requirements.

  • Assist with academic support, monitoring study table, mentoring cohort, and serve as liaison to the Laker Academic Success Center.

  • Assist with camp coordination and other program fundraising needs.

  • Ensure the program adheres to all NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations.

  • Serve as a GVSU ambassador, engage with media, and participate in fundraising and community events.

  • Perform other duties as required/assigned by leadership.
