The Assistant Video Coordinator for Football works under the direction of the Director of Football Technology with day to day functions of the department within the football program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, collaborates with the set-up for videotaping of football events for both practices and games; videotapes and edits daily football practice for coaches for breakdown and study purposes; conceptualizes and designs, with input from coaching staff, videotaping plan with regard to camera positions and assignments; performs routine maintenance on equipment which includes troubleshooting and maintenance of video; prepares for the transportation of equipment to home and away football games; ensures all assigned tasks are in compliance with department, University, BIG Ten Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations; and performs similar or related duties as assigned or required.
Physical Demands:
This position requires working during evenings and weekends, which are considered non-standard work hours. While performing the essential functions of the job, the employee operates a computer and other office devices such as telephones, copy machines, etc.; Constantly moves about the facility and event site before, during and after events to service clients; and constantly communicates via telephone, email and in person with others to exchange accurate information. Standing, walking, kneeling/crouching, balancing, and lifting up to 20 pounds.
Preferences:
Experience working within a fast-paced, high-volume educational or collegiate institution.
Licenses/ Certifications: NA
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: One (1) year of professional athletic, payroll, finance, accounting, procurement, fundraising, or event coordination experience.
