General Notes
Additional hours will be required to include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. Travel required. This job is not suitable for remote work and is expected to work regular on-site hours.
Purpose
Reporting to the General Manager, provide expertise and guidance in developing and implementing a vision and plan for Texas Athletics’ football personnel, recruiting, and creative media departments.
Responsibilities
Manage and ensure effective coordination and execution of all aspects of the daily operations of the Texas Athletics’ football personnel, recruiting and creative media departments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with key program staff and stakeholders.
Participate in evaluating, collecting data, video, etc. on prospective student-athletes and transfers in collaboration with head football coach and coaching staff. Develop, implement, and manage the film evaluation and grading process in collaboration with key staff and business partners.
Assist with the management of scholarships, SPOTS walk-on roster and project position needs.
Assist with providing oversight of the supervision, planning and coordinating of official and unofficial visits to campus, including but not limited to, recruiting calendars (evaluation, contact and fall/spring/summer recruiting).
Monitor all evaluation days and recruiting contacts, participate in assigning recruiting areas to countable coaches and planning and overseeing the head football coach and countable coaches recruiting schedule in coordination with relevant staff members, ensuring effective and timely communication.
Serve as a liaison with the Athletics Academic Enrollment and Eligibility and Compliance departments for all needs and monitoring associated with recruitment of prospective student-athletes and transfers. Assist with the securing, evaluating and filing transcripts for selected prospects in collaboration with Athletics Academic Enrollment and Eligibility and Compliance staff. Serve as a liaison with the Athletics Business/Travel department for all needs and monitoring associated with recruitment of prospective student-athletes. Collaborate with all departments on recruiting matters (business/travel, compliance, student services, strength and conditioning, sports medicine, travel, business, facilities, housing, parking, tickets, etc.). Ensure all official/unofficial visit expenses reports and paperwork are completed in accordance with University policies and procedures.
Assist with the initiation of NLI and FAA to signees in collaboration with Athletics Academic Enrollment and Eligibility and Compliance departments.
Perform functions of the General Manager in his absence, as specified.
Drive a UT or rental vehicle on and off campus.

Bachelor's degree. Four years' experience in NCAA Division I Intercollegiate Athletics football programs in a coaching or administrative capacity. Experience in football recruiting at the collegiate and/or NFL level. Experience with football scouting reports. Professional demeanor and ability to project the image of the University of Texas and the Athletics Department with dignity and grace regardless of circumstances and environments. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills to enhance interaction with student-athletes, peers, alumni, administrative personnel, and the community. Demonstrated exceptional character traits in integrity and fairness. Demonstrated commitment to The University of Texas Intercollegiate Athletics Core Values: Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, Community Engagement, Creativity, Accountability and Loyalty. Driving Required
This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident.
