Job Description
First line of contact that ensures the overall professional services related to the golf experience for members and guests is superior.
- Assist head professional in day-to-day operations
- Provide golf instruction, assist in conducting golf clinics, tournaments and special events.
- Play with members and their guests. Continue to work on your game.
- Monitor scheduling system.
- Assist in making sure the golf shop is maintained in a neat and clean manner daily.
- Assist in the monthly inventory.
- Train student employees.
- Coordinate the receiving and pricing merchandise with the Professional Staff.
- Ensure the daily, weekly, and monthly procedures are being followed.
- Possess a thorough understanding of overall golf operation.
- Ensure that all golf shop supplies, and all reports are maintained correctly.
- Self-Starter
- Oversees golf car management, including, but not limited to, golf car staging area, bag drop service area, and golf car barn.
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Required Education: High School diploma or GED
- 24 months of experience in a golfing environment
Skills :
- Able to communicate well and build rapport quickly with student, faculty, and staff
- Excellent professional customer service
- Knowledge of club rules
Certifications :
- Valid Driver's License to drive university vehicles

- Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to engage in repetitive motions.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures.

- Maintains composure and objectivity when confronted with problems
- Is sensitive to the needs and expectations of fellow employees
