Responsibilities include but are not limited to: reserving tee times for guests, greeting and providing directions for golfers, utilizing point of sale software, handling payment transactions for goods and services, checking and receiving merchandise, scheduling and supervising guest service staff, supporting the event coordinator in clerical duties, and overall promotion of University Ridge. Strong customer service, organizational and communication skills are required.

* PGA member or apprentice and/or graduate of an accredited PGM program is preferred
* Working knowledge of golf course business
* Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and organize a complex and varied workload
* Working knowledge of selling and negotiating
* Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse audience including guests, business partners, athletics staff and coaches.
* Ability to maintain composure in difficult situations
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to lift 50 pounds
* Ability to work any day of the week including early mornings and late evenings
* An understanding of the operation of a major research university and an interest in promoting the Intercollegiate Athletic Programs
* Knowledge of applicable NCAA, Big Ten and University/State regulations

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Conditions of Appointment: This is a 100% University Staff appointment. Pay rate will be assigned within the appropriate range, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. An excellent benefits package is also included.
