Chatham University is seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant Ice Hockey Coach to support the continued growth and success of our program. This role is ideal for a passionate individual committed to student-athlete development, both on and off the ice.
The Assistant Ice Hockey Coach, in conjunction with and under the supervision of the Head Women’s Ice Hockey Coach will assist in all facets of facilitating Chatham Universities’ Division IIII Ice Hockey Program.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist with all coaching responsibilities for training and games.
Design & develop specialized, sports specific training during the traditional and non-traditional seasons to minimize injury and maximize player potential.
Assist with recruiting for the Ice Hockey Program.
Identifying, contacting, developing and maintain relationships with high quality prospective student-athletes on a national scale.
Assistant will serve as the programs communications coordinator and assist with all social media accounts, alumni relations communications, program newsletters and community outreach initiatives.
Serve as a role model and assist with mentoring and managing student-athletes both on and off of the ice. Should possess a commitment to the overall growth, wellbeing and success of student-athletes in adherence to NCAA Division III, PAC and Chatham University guidelines.
Assist with issuing, maintaining, collecting and keeping an inventory of all ice hockey uniforms & equipment.

Uploading home games to conference sharing site. Review and edit video for team and individual players.
Perform other duties as assigned by Head Ice Hockey Coach & Athletic Administrators.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Previous experience in coaching preferred.
Participation in a college level ice hockey program preferred.
