The opportunity

The traditional campus of Southern New Hampshire University is looking for a part-time Assistant Ice Hockey Coach. The main responsibility of this position is to hep us assist and provide support to students athletes. You will report directly to the Head Men's Ice Hockey Coach.

You will get to:

• Build preseason and season practices.
• Monitor conditioning programs.
• Provide input for athlete performance and progress evaluations. Evaluating opponents' performance and scouting, ensuring the best performance of athletes during games.

You will get to:

• Build preseason and season practices.
• Monitor conditioning programs.
• Provide input for athlete performance and progress evaluations. Evaluating opponents' performance and scouting, ensuring the best performance of athletes during games.
• Help us recruit prospective student-athletes.
• Participate in planning for events, including fundraising or other special functions.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned upon discussion between the Head Coach, Director of Athletics, and Assistant Coach.

We are governed by the rules and regulations of the NCAA and Southern New Hampshire University, which requires working with the Head Coach in all facets of the program. You must develop a working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. If you plan to recruit, you must pass the NCAA Certification exam.

Per NCAA rule, a coach who is found in violation of NCAA regulations shall be subject to disciplinary or corrective action as set forth in the provisions of the NCAA enforcement procedures.

We would like to see:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 1+ years of coaching or playing experience in the sport of hockey
• Knowledge, observance, and commitment to all rules and regulations of the College, NE-IO, ECAC, and NCAA
• Have a valid driver's license to bring the team on occasion to practices, games, playoffs, and coaches' meetings

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $12.00 - $29.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
