Randolph-Macon College invites applications for a full-time, 12- month Assistant Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach. Reporting to the Director of Golf, the assistant coach will help plan and execute practices and game plans for a competitive NCAA Division III program.
Responsibilities
Teach the fundamentals of the sport by providing hands-on instruction, demonstrating proper techniques, and offering feedback to enhance student-athlete performance.
Instruct team members individually and in groups, demonstrate game techniques, and assist with position-specific skill development.
Devise and implement game strategies, position assignments, practice sessions, and game plans in accordance with NCAA and conference regulations.
Take an active role in game-day strategy, instruct student-athletes accordingly, and scout opponents to develop effective game strategies.
Instruct athletes on physical health and safety while serving as an academic and personal mentor.
Recruit qualified student-athletes through travel, outreach to high school coaches, and communication with prospective student-athletes.
Assist with team travel, equipment issue, maintenance, and inventory.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and previous competitive playing experience at the college or university level required; previous coaching experience preferred.
Knowledge of the sport, including skills and strategies of the game.
Successful applicant must demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills as well as be committed to the policies and regulations of the NCAA Division III.
Must be or become certified in CPR and first aid techniques.
Must have a valid driver’s license with satisfactory motor vehicle record by insurance standards.
