Lake Forest College invites applications for a part-time Men’s and Women’s Assistant Tennis Coach . This is a five-month position (January – May), with the ability to renew for the next academic year (both the fall and spring seasons). The College is located in a vibrant tennis area just north of Chicago. The position, ideal for someone desiring experience in a Division III collegiate coaching environment, will offer the chosen candidate the opportunity to assist the head coach with a wide variety of coaching duties to accomplish the tennis programs' overall goals and objectives. The nature of the position is such that morning, evening, and weekend work will be necessary. The chosen candidate will demonstrate the ability to work as a member of the Forester athletic department “team” and support the mission, goals, and procedures of the department and the College.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will assist the head coach with practice and match coaching, as well as other duties as assigned. Candidates must have strong interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment while motivating student-athletes.

Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree is required with college playing, and/or coaching experience, strongly preferred. A strong USTA rating with a comprehensive understanding of strategy and technique also preferred.

Salary:
$3,500-$4,500 (total compensation for January – May), based on availability.
