Essential Functions
Coordinate with the Head Basketball Coach:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Head Men’s Basketball Coach in providing coaching expertise and administrative duties for the intercollegiate men’s basketball program on a full-time basis. This is a 12-month position.
Essential Functions
Coordinate with the Head Basketball Coach:
Supervise arena set-up for home basketball games and assist game management for other sports
Provide specialized instruction and skill development for guards, with a primary focus on point guard play.
Serve as a mentor to point guards, offering guidance on leadership, decision-making, and game management.
Support players through year-round development, including film analysis, individual skill sessions, and on-court coaching.
Manage and coordinate the recruitment process for prospective student-athletes, including outreach, evaluation, and communication with coaches and recruits.
Foster strong relationships with current student-athletes to support their academic, athletic, and personal development, contributing to overall retention and program success.
Coordinate and implement defensive game strategies, while assisting the head coach with real-time, in-game adjustments to enhance team performance.
Lead player development through structured on-court skill workouts and conduct individual film sessions to enhance athletes’ understanding of team basketball concepts and overall game IQ.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Basketball Coach
Additional Desirable Qualifications - Prior supervisory experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Must be able to raise and lower basketball goals, assist in setting up bleachers and breaking down, scorer’s tables and player seating for intercollegiate contests and drive and transport athletes if needed. - Ability to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodations.

Campus crime statistics as defined under this law for the last three calendar years are included. A copy of this report may be secured from the (Office of Admissions), (Office of Human Resources), or from the University Police Department.
