Job Description:

Men's Basketball 2nd Assistant Job Description

Academic Coordinator

Responsible for weekly meetings with half the freshman
Oversee study tables
Implement progress report plan
Email professors for updates on players

Film Exchange

Upload all game film to Synergy
Develop film exchange agreements with non-conference schools

Marketing & Promotions

Responsible for game day promotions
Create game day flyers and advertisements
Work closely with SID and Rick Smith on promotional events
Camp Promotions
Twitter Account

Strength & Conditioning

Co- Strength & Conditioning Coordinator
Help design basketball specific lifting & conditioning workouts
Monitor all S & C sessions

Inventory & Equipment Manager

Inventory all equipment
Pass out and collect game gear for each game
Supervise managers with laundry responsibilities
Locker room responsibilities (check locker room daily ? all year)

Travel Coordinator

Compose Travel Itineraries for all away contest
Set up all team meals
Communicate with Athletics Administrative Assistant & bus driver about travel arrangements
Set up hotel reservations and accommodations

Scouting / Video

Fully responsible for full scout breakdowns of every other game.
Must have opposing team's offense, defense, base line out of bounds, sideline out of bounds, ½ court sets, zone/press defenses totally scouted/broken down and ready to present to the head coach immediately following the previous game.
Create Synergy statistical reports for the head coach
Create Synergy Highlight playlist for team scouting
Create a 5 page hard copy scouting report for every scout.

Recruiting

Manage recruiting database (Frontrush) (enter and update all possible prospects)
Must make 25 calls per week.
Will be asked to travel to high school games 2-4 times per week during the season.
Will attend AAU events in the spring/summer and evaluate prospects while compiling a list of possible recruits.
Manage recruiting mail out plan and utilize managers to help with mailings
On Campus Visits ? Develop itineraries, provide campus tours, set up meetings with professors
Highlight Videos ? produce highlight videos throughout the course of the year to send to recruits
Develop recruiting flyers and mailouts

Summer Camps

Promote all summer camps
Responsible for camp database and mailings
Counselor for all camp sessions

Managers

Hire and manage a staff of managers
Laundry, practices, film responsivities, mail outs

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree

College playing experience

2 years of college coaching experience.
