Reporting to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach, the Assistant Men's Basketball Coach , will assist in developing, organizing and administering all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball program. This is a part-time stipend position, paid bi-weekly.

The Assistant Coach must be able to build positive relationships with student-athletes, coaches, staff and campus partners. They will help support the athletic, academic and personal development of the Men’s Basketball team with a commitment to sportsmanship, respect, diversity, equity and inclusion.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Head Coach with various aspects of coaching, such as planning and executing practices, video review, opponent scouting, and game planning.
• Recruit prospective student-athletes.
• Manage road game travel, including driving the team to road games in Pratt Institute vans, when needed.
• Follow NCAA Division III rules and regulations and pass annual Coaches Exam.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Basketball coaching and/or playing experience.
• Availability to work nights and weekends for games and practices is crucial.
• Valid driver’s license with the ability to drive a 12-passenger van.
• Ability to thrive in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
• AED/CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basketball coaching experience at the collegiate level
• Familiarity with NCAA Division III rules
• Familiarity with Synergy and Hudl
• Collegiate recruiting experience

Salary

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.

$7000, part-time. Appointment runs Septermber 1, 2024 through March 31, 2025.
