Hiring Range:  $18,541 – $22,249 – to commensurate with experience. Candidates with education or qualifications beyond the minimum requirements may be considered for a salary above the hiring range.

Position Information:

Mayville State University is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Part-Time Assistant Football Coach to work specifically with the wide receiver position group. This coach will play an important role in developing student-athletes, supporting the offensive staff, and contributing to the overall success and culture of the Comets Football program.

Key Competencies:

• Coach, mentor, and develop the wide receiver position group
• Assist in planning and implementing offensive practice sessions
• Break down film, evaluate player performance, and prepare scouting reports
• Support game-day operations, including sideline management and position-group adjustments
• Contribute to recruiting efforts as assigned by the Head Coach
• Promote academic success, sportsmanship, and a positive team culture
• Uphold all NAIA, conference, and university policies and expectations
• Model and reinforce Mayville State’s core values in all interactions with student-athletes and staff

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Previous playing or coaching experience with wide receivers
• Strong understanding of offensive concepts, route running, and WR fundamentals
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience at the collegiate level
• Familiarity with film systems such as Hudl
