Position Summary

Duties and Responsibilities

The part-time Assistant Coach in Men’s Lacrosse assists the Head Coach with instructing Guilford College student-athletes in an attempt to fully maximize their potential, while supporting the mission of the college. Responsibilities include coaching, recruiting, scouting and film work. Other responsibilities include participating in various fundraising activities and active participation in community service activities. Ability to relate and motivate effectively student-athletes is essential, as well as a demonstrated commitment to high academic standards, healthy lifestyles for student-athletes, demonstrated leadership skills, ability to manage team dynamics, and a commitment to NCAA regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required as well as college level lacrosse or coaching experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic and the desire to work in a Division III environment.
