Position purpose
The Assistant Soccer Coach reports directly to the Head Soccer Coach and is responsible for assisting in the organization and administration of the men’s soccer program in accordance with the rules and regulations set forth by Vaughn College and the United State Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). The Assistant Soccer Coach must have a commitment to developing a competitive soccer program, while maintaining an emphasis on the academic success of the student-athlete. The Assistant coach will be expected to assist in managing recruitment efforts, academic success, and ensure the program promotes the health, safety, and welfare of the student-athlete.

Education and/or Experience Requirements
Professional Skills
Candidate must have great communication skills, as well as strong writing and verbal skills. Must be team oriented. Computer software skills are vital. Examples include, Microsoft word, Microsoft excel, and athletic data systems.
Reasoning Ability
The candidate will be required to recruit student-athletes to the institution. Must meet deadlines set by head coach, membership conferences, governing associations, for all athletic information and player nominations.
Work environment and physical functions
This position is expected to travel to both games and practices. Generally, an employee needs to be able to stand for long periods of time. Some office time will be utilized for marketing, scheduling and recruiting.
Compensation
This position is temporary, seasonal and part-time. The compensation for this position is a stipend of $2,000.
