Mount Marty University, a proud member of the NAIA and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), is seeking a dedicated and mission-driven Soccer Assistant Coach. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of excellence, mentorship, and spiritual growth within our athletic program. The successful candidate will support the Head Coach in all facets of program management, with a heavy emphasis on recruiting high-character student-athletes and ensuring the operational success of the team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Execute core assignments issued by the Head Coach, including:
Serve as a mentor to students, assisting with the integration of academic, spiritual, and social dimensions of the university.
Maintain a positive coach-player relationship while building rapport with faculty, staff, and the public.
Inform the Head Coach of any student-related issues, including academic progress or facility/equipment needs.
Ensure full compliance with NAIA and GPAC rules and regulations.
Provide adequate supervision for athletes during travel and university-sanctioned events.
Maintain high confidentiality regarding salary, budget, and grant information.
Drive a 15-passenger van for team functions (requires completion of university driving training and securing a DOT medcard).
Assume other related responsibilities as assigned by the Head Men’s Soccer Coach and Athletic Director.
