What We're Looking For
Ferrum College is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and student-centered Assistant Men's Soccer Coach to help build and sustain a competitive NCAA Division II men's soccer program. This individual will assist the Head Coach in all aspects of the program, including recruiting, coaching, player development, program administration, compliance, and student-athlete success.
This position offers an exciting opportunity for a coach who is passionate about developing student-athletes both on and off the field while contributing to a culture of excellence, accountability, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities - Assist in all aspects of the men's soccer program, including practices, competitions, recruiting, and daily operations. - Recruit, evaluate, and retain qualified student-athletes while ensuring compliance with NCAA Division II and Conference Carolinas regulations. - Plan and conduct individual and team training sessions focused on technical, tactical, and physical development. - Evaluate player performance and provide instruction and mentorship that supports athletic and personal growth. - Monitor academic progress and encourage student-athlete success in the classroom. - Assist with budgeting, team travel, equipment management, scheduling, and facility coordination.
