Description

The Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach is responsible for organizing all aspects of recruiting, coaching, and development of Division I student-athletes at Lafayette College and supports all facets of the men’s soccer program.

Primary Responsibilities:

Assessment and recruiting of student-athletes with excellent academic background to a NCAA Division I institution and assist in recommending scholarship for prospective student-athletes. Assist in scouting and in-season film evaluation and breakdown. Possess knowledge of and abide by NCAA and Patriot League rules and regulations. Assist in the organization and planning of all special events. Assist in fund-raising and development activities. Assist in continued development of positive public relations with alumni and the community. Assist with competitive contests. Assist in advising student-athletes. Work closely with support staff including Sports Medicine for the prevention and care of athletic injuries and student-athlete success staff to support the holistic development of student-athletes. Attend department meetings. Performance of all other duties and special projects as assigned by the Athletic Administration and Men’s Soccer Coach.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. 1-3 years experience coaching at the Division I level. Knowledge of and ability to abide by NCAA, Patriot League, and Lafayette College rules and regulations. Strong verbal and written communication skills along with knowledge of Google Workspace for Education and ARMS.
