Job Description:
Responsible for coaching of the University’s intercollegiate Division III Men’s Tennis program. Teaches activity classes.
Assists, in cooperation with the Head Men’s Tennis Coach, all aspects of coaching and administering a Division III Men’s Tennis Program. Preparations planning, and setup for practice/setup. Performs practice and match analyses as well as class schedule analysis for players.
Assists with supervising student workers.
Assists with travel planning and home matches and tournaments. Coordinating travel plans (rental cars, hotels etc). Helps arrange team meals before/during/after competition. Responsible for driving school vehicles to and around for competitions. Assists with preparation of team uniforms.
Teaches activity classes.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Abides by NCAA Division III Men’s Tennis rules and regulations.
Remains “on-call” for student-athletes needs 24/7, nights and weekends. Requires extensive travel and time during the regular season and during the recruiting season.
Cooperates and collaborates with other employees in the spirit of teamwork and collegiality and interacts with confidence, patience and integrity to provide professional leadership during emergencies.
Complies with all Trinity University policies and guidelines.
Performs other duties as required.
EDUCATION
Required:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Experience above the minimum requirements can substitute for education on a year-for-year basis. Countable experience includes college, high school, club, professional or equivalent player level experience.
EXPERIENCE
Required:
Six months of tennis coaching experience at the college, high school, club, professional or equivalent level.
Preferred:
Five years of tennis coaching experience at the college, high school, club, professional or equivalent level.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Required:
Demonstrated effectiveness in the instructional aspects of coaching, tennis stringing, and tournament and event management.
Knowledge of the game of tennis and the fundamentals of the sport.
Ability to string tennis racquets.
Ability to operate in a gym/gym equipment/workout plans.
Ability to operate the budget and Concur Solutions.
Ability to coordinate practices.

Ability to work computer programs/systems/data entry.
Coaching, recruiting, scheduling.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Required:
Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and have a good driving history. May not have more than two moving violations in a three-year period.
