JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant Coach reports to the Head Coach. The Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting in supervising all practices and contests, vigorously recruiting academically and athletically qualified student-athletes, and conducting all activities within the rules and regulations of Ramapo College, the NJAC, ECAC, and NCAA.
Duties:
ASSIST in carrying out the following duties as indicated by the head coach:
Conceive and enact season, monthly, weekly and daily practice plans.
Supervise all practices and contests.
Individual player skill development.
Identify and recruit vigorously for academically and athletically qualified students.
Opponent analysis and preparation.
Monitor the academic progress of athletes, including organizing team study session.
Follow up with players on all academic progress reports received by athletic office.
Supervise closely the requirement that all players complete the college physical examination and all related paper work before any participation can occur.
Work Closely with Athletic Trainer for the care and prevention of athletic injuries, including the development of off-season and pre-season conditioning programs.
Monitor distribution, use and return of equipment.
Developing and implementing clinics, tournament and summer camps.
Travel Coordination and drive college vans.
Maintain rapport with college community and alumni.
Raise funds as necessary and coordinates with the Office of Institutional Advancement and the Athletic Director.
Additional duties as assigned by the Head Coach and/or Director of Athletics.
